I was once invited to eat in a restaurant by a well-known comedian at the time. A waiter, on spotting the celebrity diner, came over and said, “You’re that guy off the TV. Tell us a joke.” The comedian, who wasn’t feeling particularly funny, grabbed him by the collar, then pulled so that his face was almost touching his. He then answered, “Give me a free meal then!”
